Chinese U.S Trade War

So the U.S is at war right now, but not the conventional war you’d think of. This is a war of trade, and it seems the U.s is fighting an uphill battle due to the revisions and actions of the trump administration.

Bill Chappell stated this in the quote below.

The Trump administration is preparing a new list of $300 billion worth of Chinese imports that would be hit with tariffs of up to 25%, after China retaliated Monday in the trade war between the world’s two largest economies. ”

Trump has started to take actions beyond the usual tariffs he tries to imply. For an example of the scale of this trade war between China. Just recently here, the office of U.S trade representative published a large and wide spanning list of chinese goods that will be hit. These items include anything from watches to art brushes.

Yet again this was discussed by Bill Chappell.

“The proposed product list covers essentially all products not currently covered by action in this investigation,” the USTR office says. It adds, “The proposed product list excludes pharmaceuticals, certain pharmaceutical inputs, select medical goods, rare earth materials, and critical minerals.”

Both nations, which just days earlier had anticipated sealing a comprehensive commercial deal, instead took steps to raise new trade barriers.”

The statements above portrays that maybe the two superpowers in trade might have seen eye to eye, but instead a trade war broke out. For example in Beijing the government proposed to impose over $60 billion of tariffs on to american trade products.

As for the people involved into this issue and trade war, prices will spike every where.

Though one question remains over the rest, what will happen next? Well the funny part about this is all is trump, the man who is running the ordeals for this, dos’nt know half of what will happen.

This was discussed and pointed out by the CNN Business portion on Beijing.

“It’s possible to do it,” Trump said when asked about the prospect of an agreement that would prevent a tariff hike on Chinese goods. “I have no idea what’s going to happen.”

It seems this is a pointless thing to happen, but as the citizens of the two countries watch on, all they can do is wonder.
