Ms. La Due talks senior photos

Ms. La Due is the Desert Pines Yearbook Advisor, and she has a lot of information about senior pictures that students need to know.
All Desert Pines seniors are required to take their senior pictures by the end of the first semester. In other words, make your appointment for sometime before December is over!
If seniors don’t take their senior picture, they won’t be on the yearbook.
Ms. La Due said that there are many different options for senior picture packages. You can get different pack bundles that include things such as more outfits to take pictures in.
“Getting the basic package is just 10 dollars,” Ms. La Due said. “If people want to pay more and have more pictures or more poses or more outfits included, they can do that and there are different prices for the larger senior portrait packages.”
As far as dress code goes, seniors are required to dress formally and appropriately. “The picture for the yearbook just needs to look nice,” she said. “It needs to follow district dress code. If you take a picture and your clothes do not fit district dress code, it will be up to the school to decide whether or not the picture will be allowed in the yearbook.”
“You can use different outfits, so if you want for example one of your senior pictures to be in your football jersey you can do that, it’s just not for the one that goes in the yearbook,” she added.
Ms. La Due also gave information on what social distancing precautions seniors should take when they go to take their photos.
“Wear a mask to your appointment, but don’t worry — you will not have to wear a mask for your photos,” she said.
