The DP school year is coming to an end, and the Jaguar Post set out to answer the question: what’s up next for our graduating seniors?

Many seniors are college-bound. According to Dr. Limbrick, one of the DP counselors, around 40% of the ’22 class will be going to college.

Many seniors have put in applications to colleges, as well as applications for scholarships.

“So far around 350 seniors have been accepted into colleges,” Dr. Limbrick said.

Some students will be staying close to home, going to schools in-state like UNLV or UNR, while others are headed further away, like Omar Ali, who will be attending South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, or RJay Tagataese, who will be headed to Chaffey Junior College in California.

“I would like to further my football career [at Chaffey],” Tagataese said.

Tagataese also reflected on some of his best memories from his time here at DP.

“My favorite year here was my sophomore year, because of the many memories I made when I first moved to Vegas from Hawaii, and playing with probably the best football teammates I played with in high school.”
